Women's 1st XI vs Tunbridge Wells W3

Saturday was a hard-fought game where we unfortunately lost 2-0. But we were a resilient and positive side that held out under huge amounts of attacking pressure. We started of strong in the first ten minutes putting Tunbridge wells under lots of pressure. We had several shots on goal but to no avail. Tunbridge wells quickly came back at us. We held out for 15 minutes of intense pressure but unfortunately after a fantastic effort from us they scored. We went into the second half 1-0 down but still full of positivity. We had some brilliant attack run up the right side of the pitch and our forwards were fantastic. Luck was not in our favour, and we missed several opportunities but kept putting in the effort. Unfortunately, they had a breakthrough ball and went on to score a second goal. We kept going and pulled together as a team.

Man of the match went to Bella which is no surprise as she was key in defence and provided so much attacking opportunities. A great effort all round with lots to learn for next week...
