Match Report: vs Dartford Ladies (Away)
Cliftonville Women's 2s traveled to Dartford with a determined squad of 11, ready to battle it out in what proved to be a tightly contested match.
The first half saw both teams creating opportunities, with play flowing end to end in an even contest. Just before the break, Dartford managed to break the deadlock, slotting in a goal to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Despite the setback, Cliftonville came out strong in the second half, looking to turn the game around. However, Dartford capitalized on their chances early on, scoring twice in quick succession to extend their lead to 3-0.
True to Cliftonville’s spirit, the team kept pushing forward, creating several chances but struggling to find the back of the net. Their persistence finally paid off in the last 10 minutes with some fluid moves and pinpoint passing leading to Tracy and Hannah both finding the target, bringing the score to 3-2 and setting up a tense finish.
Despite a valiant effort, Cliftonville couldn’t quite complete the comeback, with the match ending in a narrow 3-2 defeat. A strong performance from the team, showing resilience and determination until the final whistle.
