Saturday saw the return fixture for Cliftonville’s mens 1s away to Burnt Ash. The ville came under pressure early and succumbed to a short corner goal but managed to keep Burnt Ash out for the remainder of the half. They also created a couple of opportunities themselves at the other end so were hopeful coming into the break.
The second half saw a lot more action with Cliftonville levelling the scoring by a well positioned back post goal by Alex Cowell. Burnt Ash again took the lead however, put one in their own net shortly after from a Charlie Morgan attempt in the opposition D. After another Burnt Ash goal taking the score to the 3-2 for the home team they won a penalty flick, however further heroics from Jamie Ullyett kept the score at 3-2. With the game in its dying embers Ville pushed for the equaliser and debutant Archie got on the end of an Alex Noose cross to level the game ending it 3-3.
