Cliftonville Men's 2s fell 3-1 away to Holcombe 6s in a challenging encounter. The opposition struck first in the 10th minute, but Cliftonville quickly equalised via a short corner scored by Adam Sidders. A failed defensive clearance led to a goalmouth scramble with Holcombe coming out on top, scoring to make it 2-1.
Despite Cliftonville holding possession for large parts of the game, thanks largely to a dominant display from George Kidd in central midfield, it was Holcombe that scored the final goal through a late counterattack, converting from an impossible angle.
